Technique & Materials

Pastel Painting

Our pastel paintings are created using soft pastels, resulting in a direct and raw appearance with vibrant colors.

Pastel paintings are highly durable, but their delicate surfaces require framing with glass for protection. Compared to oil paintings, which may need upkeep over time, pastel paintings require minimal upkeep. When properly cared for, pastel paintings from centuries ago can show little to no signs of aging.

Oil Painting

In our oil paintings, we use the old masters' traditional method with multiple layers and color palette. Our oil artworks, based on a figurative approach, require numerous layers, making the process very time-consuming.

Pigment Print

We create our pigment prints (also known as giclée or DGA) on heavyweight cotton paper, using the highest archival standards (100+ years with no color shift or yellowing).

Our larger prints are primarily made in collaboration with Digital Darkroom in Berlin on Hahnemühle paper using 12-ink Epson HDX for maximum color depth and nuance.

All prints are signed, titled and numbered.
